Bowman is currently serving as Finance Director for a Non-Profit organization. Previously, she served as Director of Finance for a National Health Care Company where she worked for over 12 years. She has over 20 years of experience in professional leadership roles.
Over the course of her career, Wanda has worked with various accounting and Managed-Care organizations and has donated her expertise to non-profit organizations such as Forgotten Harvest. Wanda has also given Corporate Leadership development and training classes for organizations throughout Metro Detroit.
Bowman has successfully completed all requirements for the designation of Professional, Academy for Healthcare Management. She is also an alumnus of the American Health Insurance Plans’ Minority Management Development Program. In this program, Wanda traveled across the country to participate in National Health Care symposiums. She was elected as main speaker in Boston Massachusetts where she spoke on the effects of Medicare on our aging population.
Wanda’s professional affiliations include National Management Association, HealthCare Finance Management Association and American Health Insurance Plans. She has served in the position of Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Partners in Personal Assistance headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Bowman holds a Master of Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Detroit, with a major in Accounting.
Bowman is an author and Motivational Speaker. She also works in the Music Department of her church as Lead Choir Director.
She is happily married to Tim Bowman, and is the proud mother of Candice and Tim Bowman, Jr.
